Frâna NEXEN pentru șurub cu bile este o frână cu cuplu mare, acțipnată cu arcuri, montată pe capătul prelucrat al unui șurub cu bile. Aceasta servește ca frână principală sau redundantă pentru a preveni mișcarea inversă atunci când apare o pierdere de putere sau un defect mecanic la sistemul de transmisie.
Combinația de joc redus și cuplaj oferă un grad ridicat de precizie pentru menținerea poziției șurubului cu bile. Pentru realizarea conexiunii se folosește un cuplaj extins/ respecti un manșon de strângere a frânei la capătul șurubului cu bile.
Cuplajul include cu o inserție elastomerică cu rigiditate torsională ridicată.

În timpul unei pierderi de putere, motorul nu are cuplu de bblocare, permițând șurubului cu bile să meargă invers și sarcinii să scadă. Frânele cu șurub cu bile se conectează la capătul prelucrat al șurubului cu bile pentru a preveni mersul invers, pierderile de sarcină și deteriorarea echipamentului în timpul unei pierderi de putere. Moment de blocare de max.125 Nm (1100 in-lbs.)
